We kindly request that visitors to the shelter have pre-approved adoption applications to ensure a personalized and comfortable experience. This allows you to have one-on-one time with our staff and exclusive access to our visitation rooms. Please allow us at least 24 hours to review your application. We will promptly email you with the status of your approval or denial. If approved, a link will be provided for you to schedule an appointment. Please note that your adoption application must be approved prior to payment, so please do not submit the adoption fee online.
In the event that you don’t find your perfect match on your initial visit, feel free to schedule additional visits using the same convenient scheduling link. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to assisting you in finding the perfect companion.
Adoption Fees include Spay/ Neuter, up-to-date Vaccines, Microchip, FIV/FeLV* (cats) or Heartworm* tested (dogs), Flea and tick and or Heartworm* preventatives, rabies shot*, and a free wellness exam by participating DVM’s, collar and leash, plus some goodies for the pet to take home!

We will be glad to assist you, to choose the pet that is right for you. You can visit with our pets in our socialization area. All of our pets are waiting for you!

Important Information:
Applications are reviewed in the order in which they are received, if we receive multiple applications for the same pet, you will be notified how many applications are approved before you. We encourage you to still come in a meet all of our great pets, you can always let the pet pick you! No one may adopt or put a hold down for a pet before they have met and visited with the pet. If the pet has not be spayed or neutered yet, the pet will not be allowed to leave EVHS until they have been altered.
